Benefit Sunday will help mother with medical expenses

The Lutheran Home-Caledonia, has organized a benefit to assist a former employee, Alma Agulto, with medical expenses following a car accident which killed her five year old daughter, Aj.
Alma was a registered nurse who was recruited from the Philippines to work at The Lutheran Home, She began work in July of 2001.
When her contract with The Lutheran Home expired in July, Alma moved to Michigan.
On August 1, Alma and Aj were involved in an accident at an intersection. Aj lapsed into a coma, and was placed on life support. Over the next several days, Alma made the difficult decision to donate her daughterís organs.
The benefit will be held at the Four Seasons Community Center in Caledonia on Sunday. A memorial service will be held at noon, followed by a lunch (free will offering) from 12:30 to 2:30. A silent auction will be held between 12:30 and 2:30.
