Suspect arrested for shooting at deputies

Ross Holen, 18, of Caledonia, has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault, fleeing a police officer, and reckless driving following a police chase on September 3.

According to authorities, deputies tried to serve a felony warrant on Holen, who then fled in his vehicle. He is then said to have lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a cement barrier. The complaint states that he then tried to escape on foot and was later located in a rock quarry.

Authorities say that at the rock quarry, Holen fired several shots at them, Deputies were able to negotiate with the suspect, who was taken into custody without further incident.

Holen remains in the Houston County Jail. Bail has been set at $25,000 conditional or $50,000 unconditional.

The incident is still under investigation.
