Man pleads guilty to stalkingPosted: 4/27/04 By David Heiller Mark Heintz, Houston, pled guilty on April 20 to one count of harassment/stalking, a gross misdemeanor, and three misdemeanor counts of violating orders for protection, and a charge of pattern of harassing conduct was dismissed. Heintz will be sentenced in Houston County Court on May 21 at 9 a.m. before Judge Robert Benson. The gross misdemeanor carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail and/or a $3,000 fine. He is also not allowed to be within 100 yards of the victimís residence. Heintz was charged on January 9, and has been in the Houston County Jail since then. He is scheduled for release on May 6. Heintz was also arrested at the scene of a fire that destroyed Money Creek Haven Campground Lodge in rural Houston on January 7 on suspicion of arson. He was living there at the time.
