Houston County Fair begins next week
The 2004 Houston County Fair takes place next Wednesday through Sunday, August 18-22 at the fairgrounds in Caledonia.
The theme of the fair is ìWhere Town and Country Meet.î
Here are some of the highlights:
Wednesday has a talent contest, plus a Tuff Truck contest in the grandstand, both at 7 p.m.
Thursday is Senior Citizenís Day, with dinner at 11:30 and an awards program for them at 1 p.m. Motocross is in the grandstand at 7 p.m.
Friday is Kids Day, with many activities starting at 1 p.m. The grandstand show at 7 p.m. is a Figure Eight Race.
Saturday is Tractor Pull Day, with a field class tractor pull at 11 a.m. and modified tractor pull at 7 p.m., both in the grandstand.
Sunday is Demo Derby Day, starting at 1:30 p.m. with the Stan Betz Memorial Demo Derby in the grandstand.
