Grace Olson
Grace I. Olson, 95, of La Crosse, WI, and formerly of Houston, MN, died Friday, August 27, 2004, at the Bethany Riverside Nursing Home in La Crosse. Grace was born on April 7, 1909, to Leonard and Julia (Halvorson) Larsen in Minneapolis, MN. She was raised in Houston. Grace married Lloyd O. Carlson in Houston. He preceded her in death in 1959. She married Harold M. Olson in 1957. He died in 1989.
Grace worked at the Houston IGA, Belleís CafÈ and Solbergís CafÈ in Houston. Her interests included quilting, raising raspberries and the Houston Garden Club.
Grace is survived by a daughter, Julie (Ben) Iverson, Robbinsdale; two sons: Karl (Imogene) Carlson, San Jose, CA, and LeRoy (Norreen) Carlson, La Crosse; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Arvin and Howard Carlson.
Services will be at 1p.m. on Monday, August 30, at the Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Houston with the Rev. T. Wayne Larson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Josephís Catholic Cemetery in Rushford. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
