New teachers at CHS
Five new teachers will be at Caledonia Middle/High School when school starts this Wednesday.
They are Meghan Crilly, agriculture; James Gladis, Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD); Keith Hilson, high school band; Dustin Moburg, middle/high school band; and Amanda Roiger, high school English.
Here are profiles that each teacher prepared for The Argus.
ï Meghan Crilly, 22, is from Arlington, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University (ISU) this spring. Her most recent work experiences were at a USDA national tilth laboratory, and in the agronomy and crop physiology departments at ISU. Her hobbies and interests include the ISU Cyclones, deer hunting, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
ï James Gladis grew up in Chatfield, and graduated from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota, in 1996. His most recent teaching experience was EBD at Apple Valley, Minnesota. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and pottery. Jim and his wife, Becky, have four children: Lance, McKenzie, Brittany, and Spencer.
ï Keith Hilson, 24, grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and graduated from college there. He student-taught in Cadott, Wisconsin. He and his wife, Ramona, are expecting their first child. His interests include cooking and practicing the trombone.
ï Dustin Moburg, 25, is from Machesney Park, Illinois. He graduated from Winona State University in 2003. His most recent teaching experience was in Sparta, Wisconsin, and Winona as a substitute teacher. His interests include mountain biking and jazz.
ï Amanda Roiger, 22, is from Northfield. She is a 2004 graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She and her fiance, Brian Huinker, plan on getting married on August 5, 2005. Her most recent job experience was instructing at Luther tennis camps, and being head tennis instructor at Northfield Park and Recreation. Her hobbies include tennis, which she played at Luther; reading, fixing up a new home, and spending time with family and friends.
