Lydia Clara Lampert
Lydia Clara Lampert, 87, of Farmington, MN, formerly of Caledonia, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Northfield Hospital, Northfield, MN.
She was born April 19, 1917 in Rossville, IA to Phillip and Lydia (Gruenisen) Kuhn. After her motherís death, her father remarried and the family moved to Brownsville. She lived there for many years and attended the Brownsville Public School.
On October 30, 1942 she married Robert Lampert at the South Ridge Lutheran Church in La Crescent. They farmed for many years in Crooked Creek Township until his death in 1974. She and her sons continued living on the farm until her sons moved to Lancer House in La Crescent. She sold her farm and continued living there. During the summer of 2000 she moved to Farmington to live with her daughter and family.
She is survived by two sons: Robert and Allen James of La Crescent; one daughter, Deloris (Wen) Smith of Farmington and three grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Roland Kuhn.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27 at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Hatlevig of Cathedral of Praise, Onalaska, officiating. Friends called one hour prior to the service. A private graveside service for the family was held in Evergreen Cemetery prior to the service.
Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia assisted the family with arrangements.
