Car stolen in Caledonia
Another car was stolen in Caledonia on December 5.
Melissa Crawford of Dorchester, Iowa, reported the theft of her 2002 Dodge Stratus from 204 North Pine that evening between 5:30 and 8:30. The keys were in the vehicle.
Houston County Sheriffís Deputy Robert Schuldt located the vehicle the next day in Caledonia. It was towed to the impound yard by St. Maryís Towing, and released to Crawford on December 7. It had two large scratches.
Another car theft occurred in Caledonia on November 29. It was recovered in a ditch on Tessmer Road and County Road 20 that night. It had transmission and muffler damage.
The Caledonia Police Department is investigating the thefts.
