Arthur F. Albrecht

Arthur Fredrick August Albrecht, 81, formerly of Hokah, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at Caledonia Care and Rehab, Caledonia.

He was born July 24, 1923, in Hokah Township to Richard and Emma (Ideker) Albrecht. Arthur attended Hokah Public Schools. He then joined the United States Army during WWII and was stationed at Camp Fannin, Texas and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Arthur never married. He worked on the family farm in Butterfield Valley, rural Hokah.

Arthur enjoyed visiting with people and assembling jig saw puzzles.

Survivors include a sister, Lucille (Wilfred) Pohlman of Caledonia; a sister-in-law, Bernice Albrecht of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ernest and Walter, and a niece, Joyce Albrecht.

Memorial services with military honors will be Monday, December 20, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. from Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, 518 W. Main St., Caledonia. Rev. Elizabeth Stempinski will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hokah. Friends may call at the Funeral home on Monday from noon until the time of service.
