Holter arrested again
A Houston man arrested after a high-speed chase through Caledonia on December 4 was back in court on another matter last week.
Nathan Karl Holter, 37, was arrested on December 15 for violating an order for protection.
He appeared in Third District Court in Caledonia the next day, where he pled not guilty and requested a jury trial.
Judge James Fabian set unconditional bail at $6,000, which Holter posted later that day.
Holter was charged on December 4 with two felonies: fleeing a police officer, and obstructing the legal process after fleeing officers.
He was also charged with obstructing the legal process and escape from custody, both gross misdemeanors, and with violating an order for protection in that incident, a misdemeanor.
Other charges filed
Holter also pled not guilty on December 3 to violating orders for protection on five different dates. He has requested a jury trial for these.
Holter also faces charges of felony theft and receiving stolen property in connection with the theft of a job trailer in Houston on September 16. He has not entered a plea in this case.
He appeared at an omnibus hearing before Judge Fabian on December 15. Fabian gave attorneys until February 1 to file briefs in the case. The judge has a month after that to make a decision.
