Roverud Construction sold to MDU

Curt Roverud of Roverud Construction confirmed Monday that the firm has been sold to MDU Resources Group. The sale was finalized last Thursday. MDU also acquired the Fred Carlson Company. The firms have been merged into Knife River Resources, a subsidiary of MDU, and will operate under the name of Fred Carlson Company, LLC.
Roverud Construction was founded in 1929 and has been in the Roverud Family for three generations. Curt Roverud will remain at the firm as manager, and all employees will be retained.
