Harold Wiegrefe

Harold F. Wiegrefe, 86, of Portland Prairie, Wilmington township, Minnesota, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at Franciscan-Skemp Medical Center, La Crosse. Harold was born April 6, 1917 in Caledonia, to William and Emma (Fruechte) Wiegrefe. He graduated from Caledonia High School in 1936. Harold lived and farmed on Portland Prairie all his life with his John Deere tractor and his dear shorthorn cattle.

Survivors include a brother, Paul (Gwen) Wiegrefe, Amery, WI; a sister, Mildred (Charles) Albee, Caledonia; eight nieces; and four nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marvin Wiegrefe.

Services will be Monday, February 16 at 1 p.m. at St. Lukeís United Church of Christ, Eitzen. Rev. Paul Burgess will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, on Sunday from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Lukeís United Church of Christ in Eitzen.
