Myrtle Peterson

Myrtle A. Peterson, 93, of Spring Grove, MN, died Monday, February 16, 2004 at Tweeten Health Services in Spring Grove. She was born April 11, 1910 in Blackhammer, MN to Christ and Clara (Onsgard) Veum. She was baptized on May 1, 1910 at Faith Lutheran Church in Blackhammer. In June of 1933 she married Arnold Peterson, he preceded her in death on July 1, 1991.

Myrtle was a lifelong Spring Grove area resident and farmed with her husband in Spring Grove township until moving into Spring Grove in 1991. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its womenís groups.

Survivors include three sons, Charles (Cynthia) Peterson, Ardell (Doris) Peterson and Roger (Viette) Peterson, all of Spring Grove; one daughter, Carol Steele, Bessemer, MI; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Iola Dosser, Spring Grove; one sister-in-law, Alta Veum, Spring Grove; one son-in-law, Bill Steele, Mabel; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Arnold and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Cora Rosaaen, a brother Bennie Veum, a great-grandson Dylan and two brothers-in-law, Bill Dosser and Robert Rosaaen.

Services will be Wednesday, February 18, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Grove, with Pastor Zane Anderson officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
