A Caledonia store has expanded with the opening of a location in Hokah.

Time Travel II opened its doors in Hokah on Monday, February 16, at 107 Main Street. Owner Danielle Burg has operated Time Travel in Caledonia for three years, and was looking for a larger location when the Hokah building became available. Burgís original plan was to close her Caledonia store and operate only in Hokah, but she reconsidered.

ìI didnít want to leave my customers in Caledonia,î she explained. She decided that she would try operating both stores.

ìI hope to keep both going,î she said, adding that she thinks being located on a busy highway will be good for business.

The Hokah location has far more room than the Caledonia store, but both stores carry a similar merchandise, including unusual gift items with an emphasis on gothic, Victorian, and whimsical items. Burg also carries the popular Silver Forest jewelry line and some novelty items such as magnets and coasters. She will be able to offer larger items such as furniture, antiques and clocks in the Hokah store and also has plans for a tea room in the back.

She will be able to seat 16 people and wants to offer special mother-daughter events. She credited her family with helping her get the Hokah location ready, just as they did when she opened her Caledonia store.

Burg plans for an open house/grand opening in the future.
