Ellie Meyer

Ellie Meyer, 68, of Caledonia, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at The Lutheran Home, Caledonia. She was born November 21, 1935, in New Albin, IA, to Stanley and Theresa (Dennis) Buege.

Ellie worked as an assistant at the Houston County Vehicle Registration Office. She also worked at the Houston County Group Home in La Crescent. Throughout high school she was a sport participant and she was an avid sports fan for her children.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Meyer, Caledonia, David (Gwen) Meyer, Houston, Daniel (Tammie) Meyer, Oakdale, a daughter, Lisa (Steve) Dietrick, Waterloo, IA; 10 grandchildren, three brothers, Glen Buege, New Albin, Wayne (Gretchen) Buege and Robert (Joanne) Buege, both of Caledonia; three sisters, Marcella Althof, Stoddard, WI, Mae (Bob) Blair, Wabasha, and Grace Meyer, Caledonia.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marie, a great-grandson, Cody, a sister-in-law, Catherine Buege, two brothers-in-law, Don Althof and Chuck Meyer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia.

Friends may call from 10-11 a.m., Friday morning, before the service at the church.

McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, is assisting the family with arrangements.
