Rognald ěRagsî Wilhelmson

Rognald ěRagsî Alden Wilhelmson, 85, of Spring Grove, MN, died Friday, February 20, 2004, at Green Lea Manor in Mabel. He was born October 1, 1918, in Spring Grove to Wilhelm and Henrietta (Henderson) Wilhelmson. He graduated from Austin High school in Austin. Rognald was a Staff Sergeant in the Army with the 3rd Division during WWII.

On June 18, 1948, he married Lucille Peterson at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.

He worked as a temporary mail carrier for four years, he and Lucille owned the bowling alley for 20 years and had also been an electricianís assistant. He also was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, American Legion Post #249 of Spring Grove, volunteer fire department, and a member of the board of directors of the Minnesota Bowling Proprietors Assn. for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille of Spring Grove; one son, Gary (Lori) Wilhelmson, Spring Grove; one daughter, Linda (Gerald) Moen, Eagan; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and one granddaughter.

Services will be Tuesday, February 24 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Military Rites provided by American Legion Post #249. Pastor Zane Anderson will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
