Bernice Hosch

Bernice M. Hosch, 94, of Caledonia, MN, died January 31, 2004 at The Lutheran Home in Caledonia. She was born January 11, 1910 in Caledonia to John J. and Anna (Neisen) Peters. She married Anthony H. Hosch January 26, 1929 and they had two sons. She and her husband Tony operated a tavern here in Caledonia for eleven years and she did light housework outside her home after they moved to La Crosse, WI.

She was a member of St. Maryís Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women. Bernice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a good cook and baker and enjoyed needle work and sewing.

She is survived by two sons, Clayton (Janene); and Darrel (Carol); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a step-son Robert (Irene) Hosch; a step-daughter Delores (Myron) Burmaster; 11 step-grandchildren; a sister Helen Konzem of Caledonia; and some nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tony in 1970 and her parents, two sisters, Eva and Flossie Peters, and one great-grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, at St. Maryís Catholic Church. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church before the service.

Memorials are preferred to St. Maryís Church Landscaping Fund.

McCormick Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
