Betty Ladsten

Betty Jane (Meyer) Ladsten, 64, of Houston, MN, died Friday, January 29, 2004, at Gundersenñ Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. Betty was born on May 17, 1939, in Caledonia, MN, to Raymond and Alice (Johnson) Meyer. She grew up in Caledonia and attended Caledonia High School. Betty moved to Houston where she lived the remainder of her life. Ý

She worked as a bartender and waitress at Flip and Johnís in Ridgeway for many years. Betty enjoyed playing cards and flower gardening. Her family will mostly remember her for all the great years at her house for Thanksgiving. There was great food, great memories, warm house and hearts together.

Betty is survived by two sons: Gerry Ladsten and Tim (Tammy) Ladsten, both of Spring Grove; three daughters: Sandy (Paul) Marks and Cheryl Ladsten, both of Money Creek, and Cindy (Bill) Harvey, Pickwick; seven grandchildren; six brothers and sisters: Dale (Mary) Meyer, Caledonia, Bonnie (Duane) Peterson, Houston, Butch Meyer and Dawn of Caledonia, Alan (Sandy) Meyer, Caledonia, Terry (Mary) Meyer, Dakota, and Judy (David) Frank, Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leroy and Gary, and two sisters, Leona and Jeannie.

Services were at 11 a.m. on Monday, February, 2, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial was in the Money Creek Cemetery in Money Creek. Friends called from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.

Hoff Funeral Homes ñ Houston Chapel assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
