Posted: 1/19/04 Lloyd SchaubleLloyd D. Schauble, 82, of Caledonia, MN, died Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. Lloyd was born June 5, 1921, on the home farm in Union township, rural Caledonia, to George and Clara (Doering) Schauble. On June 10, 1942 he married Alice A. Klinski and she preceded him in death on January 24, 1993. Lloyd farmed his entire life on his home farm in Union township. He also was active in many farm organizations throughout the community. Lloyd was an active member of St. Peterís Ev. Lutheran Church in Union township until its closing. He then became a member of St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family. In recent years, he also enjoyed the time he spent with his many friends in card clubs and visiting at the Redwood Cafe. Survivors include two daughters, Myrna Luehmann, Preston, and Cheryl (Terry) Thienes, Onalaska; one son, Wayne (Maureen) Schauble, Lewiston; eight grandchildren;; and one great-grandson. In addition to his wife, Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; and a son-in-law, Dennis Luehmann. Services will be Wednesday, January 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia with Rev. Jon Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
