Legislators in Caledonia Thursday will discuss environmental issues

Citizens in Southeast Minnesota will have an opportunity to comment on environmental issues that may arise during the 2004 Minnesota legislative session at a special listening session in Caledonia on Thursday, January 8.
The hearing is being hosted by the Bluffland Whitetails Association (BWA) and will be joined by State Rep. Greg Davids (R-Preston), House Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee Chairs, Tom Hackbarth and Dennis Ozment, and DNR Commissioner Gene Merriam.
The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Community Center, 900 North Kingston Street, Caledonia.
ěThis is a great opportunity for area residents to offer their opinion on environmental and outdoor issues that may come up during the 2004 session,î Davids said.
