Roy Fitzpatrick

Roy Daniel Fitzpatrick, 95, of Waldorf, MN, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the Janesville Nursing Home in Janesville, MN.

Roy, the son of James and Margaret (Hurley) Fitzpatrick, was born on July 11, 1908 in Brownsville. He was raised in Brownsville and helped on his familyís farm as a young man. He was united in marriage to Alice Olson on June 20, 1938 at the St. Patrickís Catholic Church in Brownsville.

Roy worked for 30 years with the Allis Chalmers Tractor Co. in La Crosse, WI. During this time he also operated a farm in the Brownsville area. Roy served on the Brownsville Town Board for about 20 years. In 1994, he and his wife moved to Waldorf and were members of the St. Josephís Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two children, Kathy Hodgkins of Waldorf and Richard (Janet) Fitzpatrick of Rochester; three grandchildren; five great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, David Hodgkins; four brothers, Edward, William, Raymond and James; and five sisters, Elizabeth Otto, Agnes Mullen, Lou Fitzpatrick, Mary (Mae) Gavin and Florence Dunnagan.

Services will be held on Friday, January 9 at 11 a.m. from the St. Josephís Catholic Church in Waldorf, with Fr. Glenn Frerichs officiating. Interment will be at the St. Josephís Community Cemetery in Waldorf. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Arrangements are with the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville.
