Printy Quik soldPosted: 6/15/04 by Jane Palen Caledoniaís ìPrinty Quikî business has been sold to Doug Nack of Freeburg. John Leahy, who owns Caledonia Electronics, opened Printy Quik in 1991 after purchasing the printing equipment from The Caledonia Argus. He increased the capabilities of the business over the next 12 years, increasing the capabilities of the operation. Printy Quik offers many types of printing including forms, tickets, stationery, wedding programs, business cards, newsletters posters and flyers. The business has its own entrance on West Main Street, but customers generally went to Caledonia Electronics for printing orders. With Nack taking over, the business will operate as an independent entity. Customers will use the entrance at 109 West Main. The business now has its own phone number which is 724-2100. Nack received training as a printer in 1972 and has been working in the field ever since. He spent the last 17 years at Crescent Printing and decided that he would take advantage of the opportunity to have his own business. He will be assisted by his daughter, Hannah, who is learning the trade. ìIím looking forward to being part of the community,î said Nack. ìIíve been doing business in Caledonia for a lot of years and I liked the idea of being part of the business community.î The hours for the Printy Quik are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. ©The Argus E-Mail: editor.argus@ecm-inc.com |
