La Crescent dealership reports theft, bus stolen in Spring Grove

The Dahl Suzuki dealership located on Twilight Street in La Crescent reported the theft of a black 2000 Pontiac Trans Am sometime during the night of Wednesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 11.

The vehicle is valued at $17,500. It was stolen when the key was obtained by breaking open the lock box.

The vehicle was described as being in perfect condition and having only 41,000 miles on it.

School bus stolen

The Halverson Bus Service reported one of its school buses stolen, from its bus yard on Wednesday, March 10. It was found abandoned later that day about five miles away near Bangs and Quail Road.

The Houston County Sheriffís Office did not have information on how it was stolen.

Two burglaries reported

The Spring Grove Car Wash in Spring Grove on West Main Street reported a burglary that occurred sometime during the night of March 11 and 12.

Someone had pried open the door to the mechanical room and took approximately $300 in quarters from the coin changer.

On Sunday, March 14, two individuals reported that someone had kicked in the door to their Caledonia residence and stole between $500 and $600 in cash from a drawer in their bedroom.

Man unconscious in accident

William D. Richardson, 21, of Canton was involved in a one-vehicle accident on Cty. 13 near Rushford on Sunday, March 14 at 5:25 p.m.

He was found to be unconscious. The Rushford Fire Department and ambulance were paged. Med-Link was also placed in the air.

The accident occurred in Houston County, but near the border of Fillmore County.

The Houston County Sheriffís Office was unable to explain the cause of the accident or what kind of injuries Richardson sustained.
