Posted: 3/4/04 Faith LearyFaith Leary, 84, of Caledonia, MN, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Tweeten Health Care Center, Spring Grove, MN. She was born June 23, 1919 in Wessington Springs, SD to Elton and Margaret (Hutchinson) Hanson. She married William Leary June 16, 1942, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Caledonia. William preceded her in death on November 8, 1995. Faith was a member of St. Maryís Parish and was active in its Council of Catholic Women in Caledonia. She and her husband farmed in Mayville Township, building a renowned registered Angus herd. She was active in 4-H and was a talented seamstress and quilter. She is survived by two sons, Richard Leary, Caledonia, and Glen (Jeanette) Leary, Winona; four daughters, Linda Miller, Libertyville, IL, Dorrie (Donald) Besse, Preston, Colleen (Jeff) Schuldt, Caledonia, and Jean (Toby) Burrichter, Eitzen; 18 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Judy Leary, and a brother Marvin Hanson. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Monday, March 8, at St Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif and Father Donald Leary will concelebrate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 pm Sunday at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm.
