Bertha ìBerdieî Heinz

Bertha M. ìBerdieî Heinz, 92, died Saturday, February 28, 2004, at the Walker Health Care Center in Minneapolis, where she had been a resident for five years.

Bertha was born May 11, 1911, in rural Caledonia. She was one of eight children born to Herman and Amelia Heinz. She was confirmed in 1925 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Caledonia. She lived in Minneapolis for many years where she worked as a house keeper and caterer.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin and Herman of Caledonia, Norman (Lavonne) of California; and four sisters, Adeline (Robert) Tessmer of Caledonia, Edith (Roy) Johnson, Ellen (Henry) Lake, and Adelia, all of Minneapolis.

Services were held on March 4 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Pastor Verne Voss officiated. Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
