Sister Audrey Zenner

Sister Audrey Zenner, 90, a Franciscan Sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes of Rochester, who served as an educator, died March 5, 2004, at Saint Maryís Hospital.

Born Lucille Cecilia Zenner on January 1, 1914 in Caledonia, Sister Audrey entered the Franciscan Congregation in 1931 from St. John the Baptist Parish, Caledonia. She made profession of vows in 1934 and began her teaching ministry at St. Joseph Parish, Winona. She taught in various schools in Minnesota including Adrian, Currie, Sleepy Eye, Austin, Jackson, Lake City, and from 1969-76 at Tau Center in Winona. From 1976-86 Sister Audrey was director of the curriculum library at the College of St. Teresa. She retired to Assisi Heights in 1986 and celebrated her diamond jubilee in 1994.

Sister Audrey is survived by her Franciscan Community.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 10 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, with Msgr. Donald P. Schmitz officiating. Friends may call at Assisi Heights at the wake service at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9 and also until the time of service on Wednesday.
