Nancy Sannes

Nancy Louise (Morken) Sanness, 62, of Spring Grove died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at St. Maryís Hospital in Rochester, MN, from complications of pancreatitis. She was born at the Spring Grove Hospital on June 28, 1941 to Clarence and Amy (Tollefsrud) Morken. She was a life-long resident of the Spring Grove area. Nancy graduated from Spring Grove High School. On July 18, 1959, Nancy married Lloyd Sanness.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; worked as a teacherís aide at Spring Grove Public School; and for the last 24 years has been a much-loved daycare provider. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, a church council member, a Group Life Chairman and had held various offices in the Lutheran Womenís Organization.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Lloyd of Spring Grove; three children: Lorilyn Dehning, Scott (Ann) Sanness, and Vicky (Dean) Dehning, all of Spring Grove; six grandchildren; one sister, Loretta (David) Thompson, Chanhassen; two brothers, Charles (Janet) Morken, Mankato, and Steven (Barb) Morken, Spring Grove; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rick Dehning, and her mother and father-in-law, Ole and Olga (Myhre) Sanness.

Services will be Friday, May 21, 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove with Pastor Zane Anderson and Pastor Stephanie Frey officiating. Burial will be in the Wilmington Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Spring Grove. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m on Thursday at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
