Robert ëRebobí Oesterle

Robert ìRebobî Oesterle, 70, of Caledonia, MN, died Monday, May 3, 2004 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, WI.

He was born May 28, 1933 in Caledonia to Henry and Nellie (Vraa) Oesterle. He married Virginia Houlihan May 25, 1957 in Caledonia. Rebob worked for Hectorís Construction, Staggemeyer Stave Mill, and Comstock Trucking, all of Caledonia. After retiring he was self employed doing salvage work.

He enjoyed going to auctions, coin collecting and visiting with his many friends at the Redwood CafÈ in Caledonia.

He is survived by his wife Virginia of Caledonia; his mother Nellie Oesterle, Sparta, WI; three sons, Robert, Jr., Gary (Ronda) and Eric all of Caledonia; three daughters, Jeannie (Darrel) Hahn, Spring Grove, LeAnn (Daryl) Treangen, Mabel, and Dianne Oesterle, Caledonia; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Lorraine Thillen, Caledonia, Louise (Norman) Renk, New Albin, IA, Alys Ann Oesterle, Stoddard, WI, Helen (Vernon) Lund, Peterson, and Linda (Joel) Dow, Bangor, WI; four brothers, Alvin Carol (Dorothy), Rockland, WI, Harold (Lori), Sparta,WI, LaVern (Bobbi), La Crescent, and Wayne (Peggy), Sparta.

He was preceded in death by a son Shawn, his father Henry, a brother Kenneth, his stepfather Alvin Oesterle and his stepmother Agnes Oesterle and brother-in-law Valery Thillen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where a prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church Thursday.
