Edna Hegge

Edna Marie (Morken) Hegge died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Tweeten Health Services Nursing Home in Spring Grove, MN. She was born November 10, 1915 to Albert and Sophia (Thoreson) Morken in Black Hammer Township. On October 17, 1934 Edna and Peter Hegge were married in the Riceford-Black Hammer Parsonage by Pastor Borg-Breen, where Edna remained a life-long member of Faith Lutheran Church in Black Hammer. They spent most of their married life on farms in the Black Hammer area also.

She is survived by her husband, Peter; one son, Owen (Janice), Spring Grove; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Genora Gulbranson and Irene (Arnold) Rosaaen; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Morken, Helen Morken and Anna Buick, all of Spring Grove, and Mabel Overby, Austin; and many nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, sister alma Ellingson and brothers Eno, Tilford, Clarence, Arnold and Edwin and two sisters and one brother in infancy.

Services will be Monday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church of Black Hammer, rural Spring Grove with Pastor Leonard Liptack officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services.
