Curtis ëCurtí Steele
Curt W. Steele, age 44, of Caledonia, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 17, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, WI.
He was born August 12, 1960 in Caledonia to Wayne and Emily (Lampert) Steele. He graduated from Caledonia High School in 1978. Curt married Nancy Koenig May 24, 1980 at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. He worked as an auto body repair technician for most of his life.
Curt was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Caledonia; a son Adam of Boulder, CO; his mother, Emily (Charles) Wiste of Spring Grove; his father Wayne Steele; two brothers, Greg and Kevin (Tamiko) Steele; two sisters, Tami (Mark) Klinski, and Pam (Kevin) Guillaume all of Caledonia; nieces and nephews; a great niece and a great nephew; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 22, at 10:30 am at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm Sunday, at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where a prayer service will be at 6:30 pm. Friends may also call from 10 to 10:30 am Monday at the church before the service.
