Melbourne K Dahler

Melbourne K Dahler, 89, of Spring Grove, died at Tweeten Health Services in Spring Grove on Friday, October 29, 2004.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1915 to Knut and Maria (Karlsbrotten) Dahler in Houston County, Black Hammer Twp.

Melbourne was in the C.C.C. Camp at Ely, and attended Dunwoody Institute in 1938 for carpentry. He was a skilled carpenter.
On Aug. 20, 1949 he married Norma Halverson at Highland Prairie Church, Peterson. They lived at the same residence in Spring Grove for fifty-five years.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.
Melbourne is survived by his wife Norma, of Sping Grove, two sons, Manley Dahler of Winona, and Donald Dahler of Golden Valley; one daughter, Maxine (Dan) Mullenbach of Rochester; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister Connie Dahler of Spring Grove.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carlin, Ernest, and Virgil.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Grove. Pastor Stephanie Frey and Pastor Zane Anderson will officiate.

Friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
