Betty Gaustad
Bethany (Betty) E. Gaustad, 80, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston.
Betty was born November 23, 1923, in Bridge Creek Valley, Rushford to George and Ella (Dahl) Gorder. She was a life long resident of the Houston area. She married Alvin (Jimmy) Gaustad on February 28, 1945. Betty was a true farm wife. She was a loving wife and mother and a member of ÝCross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, 4-H, the Garden Club and the American Legion Womenís Auxiliary.
Betty is survived by her husband Jimmy; a son Larry (Debra) Gaustad, Houston; a daughter Laurie (Gaustad) Nord and her fiancÈe Royce DeCook, Rochester, MN. She is also survived by one grandson, three step grandchildren, and a sister, Lyla (Bernie) Gaustad, Rushford, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Richard.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. Rev. Lane Zaffke will be officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, November 5, from 5-8 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Homes ñ Houston Chapel, and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery.
