Kerry Darling
Kerry Darling, 51, of New Albin, IA, died Saturday, October 16, 2004, at his home in New Albin following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephís Catholic Church in New Albin. Burial will be in St. Josephís Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Center in New Albin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Kerry Darling Memorial Fund. The Martin Funeral Home of Waukon, Iowa, is handling arrangements.
Kerry spent his career in law enforcement and had been with the Allamakee County Sheriffís Department since 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Trish of New Albin; two daughters, Nicole of Rochester, and Alicia at home; his parents, Alvin and Vera Darling of New Albin; three brothers, David (Sandy) and Jeff (Judi) both of Lansing, IA, and Jay (Janice) of Flower Mound, TX; and three sisters, Ann (Dan)Rethwisch of Lakeville, MN, Shelly (Jim) Cunningham of Grapevine, TX, and Tracy (Jim) Boardman of De Soto, WI.
