Two boys charged in car theft
Two Caledonia male juveniles, ages 14 and 13, were charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony, on October 7.
The charges are tied to the theft of a car in the City Caledonia on July 29. It was recovered that same day east of Caledonia.
One of the youths appeared in court on October 6 and denied the allegations. He has been released with conditions.
The other youth hadnít made a court appearance as of October 13, and no court date had been set, according to assistant Houston County Attorney Suzanne Harnack.
The juveniles face other misdemeanor charges in the alleged incident, including underaged consumption; no drivers license; tampering with a motor vehicle, and theft.
The names of juveniles under the age of 16 who are charged with felonies cannot be made public.
