John S. Waldron
John S. Waldron, age 60, of Kellogg, formerly of Wabasha and Minneapolis, was died at St. Elizabethís Medical Center in Wabasha on Monday evening, October 25, 2004.
He was born August 2, 1944 in Wilton, WI, the son of Roy and Doris (Harrison) Waldron. He graduated from Caledonia High School in Caledonia and then served in the U. S. Navy from 1963-1971, serving in Scotland, Homestead, FL and Norfolk, VA. He married Marjory Strongman February 26, 1966, in Dunoon, Scotland. He worked for Honeywell in Hopkins for 13 years. The couple moved to Wabasha in 1991 when they purchased the Wabasha Motel. They operated the motel until retiring to Kellogg in January, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Marjory Waldron, Kellogg, MN; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Rachelle Waldron, Ramsey, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Neil Anderson, Bloomington, MN; four grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William and Mary Waldron, Hastings, MN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Stuart Dibley, Eitzen, MN, Helen and John Rusert, Stewartville, MN, and Jane Stevenson, Kerrville,TX.
His parents and one grandson, Ian Anderson, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. There will be a private funeral service on Friday. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha.
The family prefers memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association. The Abbott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemen
