Delores Skauge
Delores Mae Skauge , 78, died Sunday, October 3, 2004, at Tweeten Health Services in Spring Grove.
She was born September 14, 1926, in Spring Grove to Melvin and Eva (Garness) Sagdalen. She was a lifelong Spring Grove resident and attended rural schools.
On March 27, 1943, she married Lawrence Skauge in Decorah, Iowa The couple farmed in rural Black Hammer Township until their retirement. Lawrence passed away on April 14, 1994.
Delores was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Black Hammer, and its womenís groups.
Survivors include two sons, Roger (Audrey) Skauge of Spring Grove and Joel (Connie) Skauge of Rochester; a daughter, Rachel (Duane) Olerud of Spring Grove; and a brother, Leland ěCapî (Zelda) Sagdalen of Mabel.
She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 7, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church of Black Hammer, rural Spring Grove. Pastor Leonard Liptack officiated.
Friends called on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Roble Funeral home in Spring Grove. and at the church prior to services.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
