Bill Grohman

Bill Grohman, 82, of Caledonia, died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center, LaCrosse, WI.

He was born September 10, 1922 in Caledonia to Walter and Anne (Koenig) Grohman. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands as a medic. Bill married Naomi Greisch June 17, 1948 at St. Peterís Catholic Church, Caledonia. She preceded him in death August 25, 2000.
He was a member of Houston County VFW Post 3833, and Loveless Eikens American Legion Post 191.

He is survived by two sons, Steve Grohman of Stoughton, WI, and Tony (Elaine) Grohman of Caledonia; two daughters, Jennie Grohman of LaCrescent, and Sue (Mark) McKee of Kasson, MN; five grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Rita) and Don (Judy) Grohman, both of Seattle, WA; four sisters, Mary Sanders of Monterey, CA, Betty VonArx of Hokah, Jean (Bud) Demmer and Gretchen (Wayne) Buege both of Caledonia.

Memorial services will be Monday, October 11, 2004 at 10:30 am at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate. Friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, where a prayer service will be said at 5:30 pm. Friends may also call from 10 to 10:30 am Monday morning at the church.
