Houston man a suspect in trailer theft

Felony theft charges are pending against a 37-year-old Houston man in the theft of a job trailer on September 17.

The trailer, owned by Kenneth Johnston of Houston, was parked at the Tenus Thorson farm in rural Houston.

It was located later that Friday at the home of the man who will be charged with the theft, Chief Deputy Kenneth Frank of the Houston County Sheriffís Department said on September 27.

The investigation is nearly complete, at which time charges will be filed, Frank said. (The manís name will not be released until he is charged.) The open trailer was filled with scaffolding. Nothing was missing when it was discovered.

Motorcycle accident

Eric Boldt, 20, of Houston, was injured in a one-vehicle motorcycle accident on Saturday night, September 25.

It occurred on County Road 9, four miles north of Houston in Looney Valley.

Boldt was transported by air ambulance to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. His grandmother, Alma Miller of Houston, said on September 28 that Eric was still in the hospital, but was doing well.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
