Blanche F. Schaller

Blanche F. Schaller, 91, of Crooked Creek Township, rural Brownsville, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at her home.

She was born January 7, 1914, in Jefferson Township, Minnesota, to William and Dora (Isacksen) Schuldt.

Blanche was a 1933 graduate of Caledonia High School. On June 12, 1934, she married William Schaller. Blanche helped with the family farm in Crooked Creek township until 1977.

Survivors include her husband, William; one son, Robert (Beverly) Schaller of Onalaska, WI; six daughters, Jacquelyn Rask and Connie (David) Ranzenberger, both of Caledonia, Ila Schaller of Brownsville, Jean (Arlin) Gran of Reno, Shirley (Thomas) Richards, and Gwendolyn Schaller, both of New Albin, 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Schuldt of La Crescent and Charles E. Schuldt of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Esther Merry of Rochester, DeLaris (Robert) Weiss of Overland Park, KS, and Phyllis (Lee) Jensen of Holiday Island, AR; two sisters-in-law, Frances Schuldt of La Crescent, and Joyce Schuldt of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews.

Blanche was preceded in death by three brothers, Arnold, Henry, and Barthell; three sisters, Margaret Schroeder, Evelyn Wuennecke, and Helen Luttchens; and one son-in-law, Donald Rask.

Services were Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Church, Brownsville. Rev. Brian Cuda officiated. Burial was in Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery, Crooked Creek. Friends called at the church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m until the time of the service.

Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, was in charge of arrangements.
