LeRoy N. Feil

LeRoy N. Feil, 65, of Watertown, SD died Friday, April 22, 2005 at a Sioux Falls, SD hospital.

LeRoy N. Feil was born on November 29, 1939 to Norman and Marie (Skifton) Feil at Caledonia, Minnesota. He moved to Austin, Minnesota as a child and graduated from Austin High School. He served in the U.S. Army for four years in Alaska, and was in the Ski Fire Patrol.

On September 2, 1966 he married Sharon Salchert in Sioux Falls. He was employed by Curtis Turner Company as a manufacturers representative for 14 years. He formed his own company, called Midwest Merchandise Consultants. He retired in 2001. He was a member of the St. Martinís Lutheran Church, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, John Tomhave.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Watertown; two daughters, JoLynn (Terry) Sutton, and Jennifer (Mark) Stromseth, all of Watertown; one son, Timothy (Roxie) McElhany of Watertown; three sisters, Sharon (Don) Burgess of Austin, MN, Susan (Jerry) Henricks of Farmington, MN, and Sheila Roberts of Grand Rapids, MI; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Services will be Tuesday, April 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Martinís Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dennis Hayes officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Military Honors will be conducted by the Codington County Post 17 of the American Legion. Visitation will be on Monday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Wight, Comes and Sogn Funeral Chapel, and on Tuesday prior to services at the church.
