Lloyd A. Johnson
Lloyd A. Johnson, 87, formerly of Houston, died on January 8, 2005, at a Reno, NV, hospital following a short illness.
He was born to Carl Alfred and Eleanor (Senn) Johnson on October 15, 1917, and graduated from Houston High School in 1935. He marred Lyla V. Onstad of Spring Grove on January 1, 1942, and they later divorced. He farmed for over 50 years in Looney Valley until his retirement. He especially enjoyed raising corn. He was a member of the board of directors and past president of the Houston-Money Creek Cooperative Creamery and a member of the Looney Valley Lutheran Church. In 1993 he married Mary Daniels of Fallon, NV, where he resided until his death.
Survivors include his wife Mary; six sons, A. Peter (Jeanne), Tom (Ginny), and Eric (Sheri) of Houston; Dale (Suzanne) of Fort Collins, CO; Gordon and Philip (Don Donahugh) of St. Paul, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister Leah Swenson of Marathon, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David Johnson, brothers Ardy and Alton Johnson, and grandson Van Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the Looney Valley Lutheran Church, Houston. Visitation will be at the churh from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
