Ruth D. Fruechte

Ruth D. Fruechte, 81, ofÝEitzen, Ýdied Monday, April 25, 2005 at Caledonia Care and Rehab, Caledonia.

SheÝwas born July 26, 1923 in Caledonia, to Louis H. and Emma (Wiegrefe) Fruechte.ÝRuth attended grade school at the Hendel Country School and graduated from Caledonia High School in 1941.ÝShe then moved to Chicago, Ill where she worked for the Railroad Retirement Board for many years. In 1963ÝRuth returned to Eitzen to care for her parents.ÝShe thenÝwas employed in various offices at the Houston County Courthouse retiring from the Veteran Service Office in 1994.Ý

Ruth was a life-long member of St. Lukeís United Church of Christ in Eitzen.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Barbara (Ed) Ferkingstad of Caledonia; her nephew, Rob (Chriss) Fruechte of Winona; her niece, Kathy (Jim) Houdek of Caledonia; great nephew and nieces, David, Julia, and Jessica Fruechte, Jennifer (Rob) Burrichter, and Gina Houdek; three aunts, Helen Fruechte, Hilda Bunge, and Norma Fruechte; and many close cousins and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Oscar and Gilbert Fruechte.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Lukeís United Church of Christ, Eitzen. Rev. Kent A. Meyer, Ph.D. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
