Evelyn Hansen
Evelyn Hansen, 83, of Excelsior, MN, died Sunday, July 31 at the Excelsior Care Center.
Anna Evelyn Johnson was born September 10, 1921 at Benson, MN to Rudolph and Ida (Hanson) Johnson. She married Richard Hansen, who was attending Luther Seminary in May 1945 at Benson. The couple moved to his first parish at Mizpah, Minnesota and then to Muskegon, Michigan. They later served at Caledonia, at Kenyon, and then at Albert Lea.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce of Milwaukee; WI and Jim and special friend Sue Quam of Minneapolis, two daughters, Susan (Jay) Fogelson of Nerstrand and Carole (Tom) Garneau of Minnetonka; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Verna Gomer of Glenwood. Her parents, husband, and two brothers, Ray and Burdell preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Thursday, August 4 at 1:30 PM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenyon with Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Burial was at the Kenyon Cemetery.
