Carol Deters
Carol Lorraine Deters died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at her home in Waukon, IA.
She was born on May 7, 1917 in Fergus Falls, MN, to Beryl (Green) and Benjamin Burton.
On November 29, 1939 she married Harold Frank Deters at St. Lukeís United Church of Christ in Eitzen, MN. They divided their time between their home in Waukon and their farm in Union City Township.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold, who died in 1989; a sister, Marion Furu; and two brothers, Dwight and Buddy Burton. Survivors include her three children, a daughter, Andrea (Dr. Bill) Iwen of Algoma, WI, and twin sons, Reverend David (Charlene) Deters of La Crosse, WI and Dr. Michael (Pat) Deters of Waterloo, IA; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Private services were held Monday, December 19 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, IA. Burial was in St. Lukeís Cemetery at Eitzen.
