Chatfield man sentenced in criminal sexual conduct case
Mark Robert Weber, 36, of Chatfield, was given 25 years probation for second degree criminal sexual conduct on February 9.
His sentence from Third District Judge James Fabian includes many other conditions, including completing sex offender treatment, no contact with minors, no use of alcohol or drugs, registering as a predatory offender, and 120 days in jail.
The sex offense was reported by a therapist in May of 2004, who was told by a person that he/she had been a victim of sexual misconduct by Weber. Investigators determined that the offense dated back to August of 1993 in Houston County.
Weber pled guilty to the crime on December 15, 2004. He was represented by attorney Jed Hammell of Caledonia.
