Richard L. Meyer

Richard L. Meyer, 47, of Caledonia died suddenly, Friday, January 14, 2005 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse, WI. He was born July 5, 1957 in Caledonia to Lloyd and Marjorie (Stock) Meyer. He attended St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Caledonia High School in 1975. Richard was a lifelong, devoted farmer. He married Annette Fruechte April 30, 1989 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Caledonia. HeÝloved his family and his Savior, and he enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Annette, two daughters, Laura and Rachel, and two sons, Steven and Clint, all of Caledonia; two sisters, Jean (Burton) Wild of New Albin, IA, and Judy (Glenn) Ruppert of Onalaska; two brothers, Gordon (Barb) Meyer and Lee (Laurie) Meyer; his mother- and father-in-law, Lawrence and Judy Fruechte; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Fruechte and Paul (Tina Esch) Fruechte, all of Caledonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, David; and an infant sister, Janet.

Services will be Monday, January 17, at 1:30 pm at St. Johns Evangelical Church, 650 North Kingston St. Caledonia. Rev. Thomas Schultz will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church and also from 12:30 until 1:30 before the service Monday at the church.

McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia is assisting the family with arrangements.
