Mary Blahnik
Mary Blahnik, 86, of Spring Valley died Sunday morning, July 17, 2005 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Mary Barbara Snyder was born April 28, 1919 in Austin, MN to Peter and Julia Agnes (Guiney)Snyder.
She was united in marriage to Louis Blahnik on June 15, 1939 at Queen of Angels Church in Austin.
She is survived by four sons; Jim (Marion) Blahnik of Dover, Joe Blahnik of Brownsville, Don (Brenda) Blahnik of Red Wing, and Fred (Carla) Blahnik of Racine; eight daughters; Mary (Kenneth) Haggerty of Goodhue, Darlene Schmitt of Stratford, WI, Dorothy (Jerry) Denisen of Grand Meadow, Carolyn Greeley of Wabasha, Elizabeth (Jerry) Pestka of Rochester, Cathy (Jack) Bly of LaCresent, Bonnie Sawyer of Rochester, and Barb (Marty) Smalley of Coeuríd Alene, ID, a daughter-in-law Julie Blahnik of St Charles, 50 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; two brothers; Paul (Irene) Snyder and Gene (Adeline) Snyder both of Grand Meadow also four sisters Catherine Blahnik of Spring Valley, Angie (Jerry) Viktora of Austin, Sister Ruth Snyder of Peru, South America and Mariah Snyder of Lauderdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1969, two sons, Francis and Robert; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe and John.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley with Father Steven Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Hindt Funeral Home of Spring Valley is assisting the family with arrangements.
