Richard McManimon
Richard R. McManimon, 50, son of Virginia (Welscher) and Jack Dever of Caledonia, died suddenly of natural causes in his home in LaCrosse, WI, on Sunday, July 10, 2005.
Richard was born May 19, 1955 in Caledonia. He graduated from Caledonia Public High School and the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He was employed by Franciscan Skemp Healthcare where he worked for 24 years as a chemical dependency counselor and mentor for youth.
He is survived by his parents of Caledonia; his daughter, Jacey Peterson of LaCrosse; his stepchildren, Aaron Peterson of LaCrosse, and Stefan Peterson of El Paso, TX, hiss brother and sisters, Bonnie Matter of Cottage Grove, MN; Judith (William) Albert; Patty and (Bob) McManimonñMoe; Sheila (Dan) Schroeder, all of Caledonia; Shawn (Andrea) Dever of Byron, MN and many nieces, nephews and special uncle, Ray and Bonnie McManimon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert McManimon and a stepson, Kyle.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Caledonia. Msgr. Donald P. Schmitz officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Hall, where there was a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Friends also called from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday morning at the church. Memorials are preferred to Coulee Council On Addictions, LaCrosse.
McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia assisted the family with arrangements.
