Houston Hoedown Days celebration is this weekend
The Houston Hoedown takes place this Friday through Sunday with events for all ages and interests.
The queen coronation takes place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school. Queen candidates are Brooke Fitting, Shannon Frickson, Brittany Gilbertson, Shannon Frickson, Abby Lee, Megan Lee, Kari Taylor , and Jessica Woxland. Sue Thesing is the coordinator.
They had a style show on July 17. This weekís activities include informal judging on July 25, Night of Fun on July 26, formal judging on July 27, dress rehearsal on July 28, coronation on July 29, and a Queens Tea on July 31.
Little Miss candidates are Ariel Heyer, Jordyn Holland, Kelly Jerviss, Ruby Johnston, Alyvia King, Elizabeth Loken, Haley Moore, Mackenzie Ness, Eryn Olson-Englund, Nicole Rogich, Hayley Schaub, Alicia Smith, Audrey Stilin, Lizzy Tippery, Tiana Walker, Emma Joe Yokum, and Jordyn Yocum.
The winner will be drawn randomly; there is no judging for Little Miss. They will perform a dance routine during coronation, choreographed by Little Miss coordinator Jenni Thesing. Little Miss 2004 is Breanna Hahn. The parade is on Sunday at noon.
The huge parade is at noon on Sunday. Fred Huhn is the grand marshal.
