Virgil Bjorge
Virgil Bjorge, 67, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at his home in Hokah.
Virgil was born April 9, 1938 to Gynther B. R. Bjorge and Helen G. (Braaten) Bjorge in Spring Grove. He graduated from Rushford High School in 1956. He married Eunice Olson on April 13, 1957. Virgil later married Nancy (Schleich) Wiste on March 31, 1984
Virgil worked for Ace Telephone in Houston for 25 years, then CenturyTel for 15 years. He maintained full time employment with CenturyTel until his death. Virgil operated various used car dealerships in Hokah and La Crescent. He enjoyed repairing and restoring vehicles.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, four sons; Jake of Hokah, Kalen of Rhinelander. WI; Keith (Jackie) of Ringwood, IL; Kevin (Erin) of Prior Lake MN; a daughter Sarah Wiste of Hokah; 11 grandchildren; sisters Joanne (Hollis) Heiden of Rushford, Pam (Les) Wangen of Preston, and Rozella of Zumbro Falls. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Hokah. Rev. Paul Breza and Rev. Dennis Heiden will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Josephís Convent Cemetery in rural Hokah. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, June 6 at Schumacher Kish Funeral Home in La Crescent.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peterís Church in Hokah and ABC Works in La Crescent.
